The newest program to be offered by The Small Business Place is our not-for-profit Youth in Business Program. We strongly believe that young adults need a different level of guidance and assistance than what our competitors offer. Our new program offers product and service packages as well as mentoring to help keep young entrepreneurs in business!
Our Director, Danielle DuBois, started her first business at the age of 16. "I could never have done it without the support of my family but I found that there was no real source for guidance other than very select government programs that I didn't qualify for..." she states. "I started this new Youth Program to offer young people products and services at reasonable prices and geared towards their needs; something I never had when I first started out."
This program is targeted towards young people, ages 15 to 30, who wish to start a full time or seasonal business. Working closely with other community services, The Small Business Place will help get these young entrepreneurs started right. We also offer mentoring opportunities for some young business owners with our Director, Danielle DuBois.
